Blarg!

I tried going into work today. I made it about 2 1/2 hours before I had to give up and go home. I hate feeling useless like this.

Finally

I finally made it to the doctor today! Drew was kind enough to take off of work a little early to get me out there.

Doc think's it was sinus drainage that started the whole thing, and that developed into the big nasty that I'm dealing with right now. He gave me a script for Z-Pack, and told me that if that didn't do it, to let him know. I love Z-Pack... five days, and I'm all done with my anti-biotics! I also love having insurence again. It's so nice to know that I can get sick and be able to do something about it.

Drew and I did a little running around after the apointment. First, I had to cash my bonus check from Home Depot, then we had to go to Walgreen's to get my script filled. Walgreen's said that it would be about 45 minutes for my script, so Drew and I went to FYE and Target to kill some time. I had some extra money, so I got a few things:

I'm in love with my new purse! It's so cute! It's also big enough to keep a book and an unbrella in. I've been eyeing it for ages, and I'm happy to have finally got it in my eager little hands.

Pissed off

I had to cancel my doctors appointment. That's what happens when your ride totaly bails out on you. I can't ask what happened cus their cell battery's dead or something... either way... it just goes strait to voicemail, and no one's picking up the landline.

Going to the doctor today. I don't know exactly whats wrong, but I suspect that this "sinus thing" has developed into an infection.

Sick is no fun

I've got a sinus thing going on, I think. My head's all cloudy, my chest is all blocked up, and my throat is really sore and tender.

Screw work, I think I'm going back to bed.

Day off, wee!

It's my day off and I have the apartment to myself, for now. It's pretty nice.

I'm trying to download some Red Vs. Blue, but it's taking forever. *sigh* Compy's getting low on space, methinks. Stupid compy...

I bought a shit-ton of clothes at Old Navy the other day. Coty and I just kinda went nuts. She did help me pick out a bunch of cute things, tho. But, there was a pair of gray camo print capri's that I thought were really cute... I wore them the same day that I bought them, and they ripped while I was getting into Jess's car. *grumbles* Right down the back seam. Gonna have to take those back, and I think I'm gonna return a pair of shoes, too. But there's COLOR in my wardrobe now, yay!

Andrew gotta little peeved with me, cus I kinda spent alot. But, I needed the clothes. I was having to do laundry every three days or so or I woulden't have any clean clothes to wear! Sad, right?

Worst. Anniversary. Ever.

Yesturday was mine and Drew's two year anniversary. Yay, right? Argh, not when the night is DOOMED!

I got outta work early (yay), almost got hit IN THE CROSSWALK while trying to cross the street (argh), then I took a shower and got all pretty once I got home.

Drew got home and we left pretty much right after that. We were going to the sushi place just down Grand from us. I love that place, it's always so good. Dinner was great, I had plum wine (yum!) and the sushi was amazing, as always.

Then, we got home...

First, while laying still on the bed (I swear!) the stupid bed frame broke. Well, that's not too big of a deal, considering that it's on of those cheap metal jobies. So, we took the old frame off and put the bed on the floor. Then, later on, Drew went to roll over and threw his back out. GAH!!! He was in agony all night, missed work today, and got pills from the doctor.

At least dinner was nice, right???

I still have a job!

I got my annual review yesturday. I've been there for a year now. Holy shit.

I was fully aware that my review was coming up. I was also fully aware that Marlilou, the store manager, was going to be the one to give it to me. Yet, when she called me in to talk to her, I panicked. I was standing outside of her office thinking "Oh, God! What if she dosen't think I've preformed well enough? What if she says that I've been absent from work too many times? What if she thinks I smell funny?!?!?"

Well, none of that happened. In fact, I preformed pretty well over all. She did say that her only concern was my attendence, and that I should keep an eye on that, but that was no surprise... and...

I GOT A RAISE! It's not a whole lot, just 25 cents, but at least it's something... and every little bit helps.

Two year anniversary tomarrow! This means sushi and plum wine. *yumage*

...and on a lighter note...

I got a haircut! I went to Salon St. Louis on Grand, and they totaly kicked ass.

A friggin' downpour!

It rained last night. Alot. So much, that apparently the new gutter work done on my building failed. This caused a downpour of water to come in through the ceiling and window. We had to move our bed away from that wall and stuff towles and clothes into the leaky areas. Seeing that we are on the first floor, I can only imagine how the two floors above us look.

Now, I'm waiting for the maitnence guy to show up. He was suppossed to be here about half an hour ago. *grr* Depending on how long this takes, I may or may not make it into work.

Slightly broken

I sent an email to my father a few days before we moved, just to let him know that we were moving and our new address.

He responded, and we've been talking a little bit. I told him about Andrew graduating salutatorian for his class and that I was planning on going back to school. Also, I told him that I've been at the Depot for a year now, and that I was kind of proud of that. In his response, was there any praise for me? No... but there was for Andrew. Apparently I "did well for myself" with him. Yeah... I knew that, thanks, Dad! That's part of the reason that I married him.

Also, he and the evil stepmother got the first level of their house compleatly rehabed. Bully for them, it's not like I'll ever get to see it, 'specially if the E.S. gets her way... fucking bitch...

He's in Africa right now attending some botany confrence. He's due to come back shortly before Easter. I'm not holding my breath for a reunion.

I'm really starting to believe that I'm just better off not talking to him. Everytime we start talking again I want to be involved in his life and I want him in mine. But, I guess it's just not that important to him. I miss him, but I guess it's better off this way.

Another day off, yay! I'm at Moke's with Mom right now. We're gonna head out soonish to go to the Natural Food store and Hollywood Video.

The "Slumber Party" at Jess's last night was pretty fun. I got a couple of things and a few ideas. I'm thinking about hosting one, but I'm not sure yet. Would anyone (girls only) even be interested in going?

I need a new book! I bought two from Target a couple of weeks ago, and I've finished them both now. We're going to Target again tonight, so maybe I'll find something worthwhile? We're definantly trading in our curtains for something that dosen't suck, tho.

It's my day off work. So, I took my sweet time getting up and dressed this morning. Then, I packed up the laptop and walked down to the neighborhood Bread Co.

Now I'm doing my online thing with some yummy breakfast! I already finished my spinich and artichoke soufle and I'm now working my way through my asiago cheese bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. Add a cup of coffee with lotsa cream and sugar into that and you've got a very relaxed and happy Von.

Laura's coming over today to help with the unpacking thing. I'm looking forward to that. Then, Jess is having her slumper party tonight. Dunno if I'm crashing over there yet, but it should be fun none the less.

It's done!

Sooo.... the move is done. It was long, it was stressful.

We're almost done moving. Hopefully we'll finish everything up today. Then it's unpacking time.

So, JR was helping us move boxes last night. We were being civil and polite... then he did something that almost made me faint...

He apologized for being an asshole in the past. I forgave him. He was very plesent to be around for the whole night. Even Andrew agreed.

He and I may not be best buddies now, and I really don't forsee us hanging out unless Laura's involved. But, this does make life a hell of alot easier.
